Next Submission Period: September 2024

Grey Coven Publishing accepts poetry, flash fiction, and short stories. For the moment, we are only publishing bi-annual anthologies. We ask that all submissions be sent to our email address during open submission periods. If you send work outside our submission period, we will hold onto it until the next submission period begins.

*Check back in July for our Manuscript submission guidelines.

  • Email greycovenpublishing@gmail.com with subject line Genre - Type of Submission - Your Name. For example: Poetry - Fall Anthology - Jane Doe

  • In the body of your email, include a third person bio under 200 characters. If you have been previously published, please include where in your bio as well. Cover letters are not required.

  • Attach your submission as a .doc, .docx, or .pdf file. Please include your name and type of submission in the header of the document. Include all of your pieces in one attachment.

  • For anthology submissions, we accept 1-5 pieces at once. Please do not send multiple submissions (more than 5 pieces) until we respond to your first submission.

  • We prefer micro poetry, free verse poetry, or prose poetry. However, we will consider all genres of poetry and flash fiction. Poetry than has been previously posted on Instagram (or other social media platforms) is acceptable. Self-published work is acceptable. We DO NOT accept pieces previously published by another publisher.

  • All flash fiction and poetry pieces should be under 1,000 words. That is the absolute maximum for any piece. Please do not send anything over 1,000 words. Most of the work we publish is 500 words or less.

  • We take first publishing rights. Upon publication, all rights revert back to the writer.

*We are a non-paying anthology, but all contributors will receive a physical copy mailed to them upon publication.
